Description
Location – CAPE INFANTA, SOUTH AFRICA. 34°25’19’’S 20°51’27’’E
Notes – An amazing day spent diving and gathering seafood, with one of my oldest mates Roly, in Cape Infanta, a special place at the tip of the African continent. Oysters, fish and octopus were on the menu for dinner! I caught this big octopus at the end of our dive. It was sitting on the bottom of the reef and as I went for it, I realized that another octopus was underneath it, they were fighting for territory. I grabbed the big one and left the other one to get away.
Recipe – I made carpaccio di polpo topped with rocket, chopped tomatoes and my homemade vinaigrette. Serve with a glass of Strandveld Pofadderbos Sauvignon Blanc. La Dolce Vita!
