Description
Location – Agulhas Bank, South Africa. 35°24’22”S 20°49’27”E
Notes – This 14kg Copper Steenbras was caught by my mate Andrew, off the Agulhas Banks. These fish live on deep reefs and when caught maybe effected by barotrauma.
Recipe – I seasoned the fish with a homemade garlic and herb butter and cooked it in a pizza oven for 15 minutes. One of the best fish I’ve eaten!
Serve with Pane di Mare ciabatta, garden salad and a glass of Strandveld Sauvignon Blanc. Buon appetito.
