Location – Hermanus, South Africa. 34°24’41’’S 19°16’41’’E
Notes – Octopus are my most favorite subject to hunt, catch, print and of course cook and eat! My fascination with octopus started at a very young age and continues to grow. This is the biggest Octopus I’ve caught using only my hands. I’ll remember her fondly.
Recipe – I have a 300 year old family recipe that calls for tomatoes, garlic, black pepper, chilli and olive oil – all in a cast iron pot! Serve with linguine and couple with a glass of Strandveld Pinot Noir MCC.
