Description
Location – HERMANUS, SOUTH AFRICA 34°24’41’’S 21°16’41’’E
Notes – While my son was busy giving a surf lesson, I went for a quick dive as a storm was brewing on the horizon and it would be a while before the next opportunity to dive. The water was an unusually warm 24°C, and I soon spotted a total of four octopus. I thought to also check out my secret spot, and as I slipped below the surface, there she was, waiting for me on top of a rock. This was the one I selected that day. Beyond Grateful!
Recipe – I stewed this octopus in tomato, garlic and chilli = Polipo in Umido, served with black rice. This Octopus dish is found on the Creation menu paired with Creation Reserve Chardonnay. Buon appetito!
